Who Qualifies To Get A Bursary Or University Student Loan From NSFAS?
The National Student Financial Aid Scheme (NSFAS) has officially opened the 2025 application process.
Applications at the moment are open and will close on 15 December 2024.
*** Who qualifies for NSFAS funding
To qualify for NSFAS funding, an applicant should fulfill the following criteria:
• Be a South African citizen or copyright who arises from a house having a combined gross domestic income that does not exceed R350 000 for every annum.
• People with disabilities qualify if their combined domestic earnings won't exceed R600 000 per annum.
• SASSA recipients automatically qualify for funding and need not submit website any proof of income.
*** Loan Scheme for the Missing Middle
The NSFAS Loan Scheme for the missing middle is open up to all South African citizens and permanent inhabitants from homes with combined R350 000 and R600 000 for every annum.
Applicants are reminded to offer the proper Identification Doc nsfas application numbers, names, and surname, as reflected within their South African ID.
NSFAS only funds people who are finding out or plan to study at a general public university or TVET college in South Africa.
All students who wish to study in any of the public universities and TVET colleges should apply timeously and not to wait until the last day.
